Welcome to Ashton’s Retreat, a pet-friendly cottage nestled on a sprawling 100-acre property in the picturesque town of Ulong, just a short 40-minute drive from the bustling city of Coffs Harbour.

Escape to a peaceful oasis surrounded by lush bushland and a tranquil creek. The cabin is tucked away in a secluded corner of the property, surrounded by a vibrant rainforest filled with a diverse array of wildlife, including koalas, echidnas, bilbies, pademelons (wallabies), and an assortment of bird species.

Step outside onto the private deck and breathe in the fresh, crisp air. Take in the silence as you listen to the sounds of nature all around you. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the peaceful creek or unwind with a glass of wine as you watch the sun set behind the trees. The cosy interior of the cottage is tastefully decorated with modern furnishings and thoughtful touches to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

The Cottage

Ashton’s Retreat offers a charming, fully self-contained one-bedroom cottage complete with a kitchenette and bathroom. It’s ideal for a romantic getaway or a cosy retreat for two. The comfortable queen bed ensures a restful night’s sleep. The stove top, cooking essentials, and BBQ allow you to whip up delicious meals. We provide basic supplies such as oil, salt, pepper, spices, milk, tea, coffee, and muesli. For that added touch of home, we also supply a Nespresso coffee pod machine with pods. A bar fridge is available for storing perishables, with a full-size fridge/freezer located in the nearby amenities block for guests’ convenience. Stay cosy with a gas heater for chilly evenings, a ceiling fan for warmer days, and flyscreens for added ventilation.

Adjacent to the cottage is an amenities block featuring a washing machine, full-sized fridge, washing line, and clothes horse. Relax by the fire pit (firewood and fire starters provided). Unwind on the front deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Spend time just taking in the breathtaking forest views. For the ultimate indulgence, treat yourself to a luxurious outdoor bath under the twinkling starlit sky.
