A delightful walk up the creek will lead you to Scouts Falls. Your trek will take you to the waterfalls where you can enjoy a swim in the natural waterhole.
Be cautious, as the path up Middle Creek can be challenging to follow and includes slippery rocks, creek crossings, overgrown areas, and some rock scrambling. However, it’s truly an adventure!
The access road is unpaved, with limited parking available on Sherwood Creek Road at Scouts Falls. There are no facilities on site, so please remember to take your rubbish with you. Please note, that it’s recommended not to wear sunscreen or use insect repellents while swimming in the wild. The creek is home to many species of wildlife.
How to Get To Scouts Falls
Scouts Falls & Swimming Hole is approximately a 40-minute drive from Coffs Harbour. To get there, head north along the A1 from Coffs Harbour. Near Arrawarra, turn left onto Sherwood Creek Rd and continue for the next 30.5km. Please note, for the last 14km you’ll be driving on an unsealed road.
An unofficial trail begins here, winding alongside the creek and potentially slippery. Exercise caution as you navigate the path! After a brief 5-minute walk, you’ll encounter a small cascade and a refreshing swimming hole. However, to reach the main waterfall, continue for an additional 10 minutes.
The return journey follows the same route, totalling approximately 30 minutes of walking time.
